We occasionally see clients doing things which are not appropriate. There are three levels of service which we can offer in response, our fee being the same in all cases:

Bean-counter service :  We just do your accounts and tax return and say nothing.

Going rate service :  We can tell you what the rest of the world does in the same circumstances, or what the going rate is.

John Brown service :  We comment critically on what you are doing, after a servant of Queen Victoria with a reputation for speaking his mind.

We are specialist company accountants and getting the balance right between salary, dividends, pension contributions, insurances and rental charges is not necessarily easy. These are all methods of extracting profit or benefit in a tax-efficient manner which we advise on.
